Yep, I guess you can say that it's REALLY official. The flag that hung on our house in Milwaukee is up, waving in the Tennessee sun. See how far our neighbor is from us? Is this great, or what? This house is next to ours.....that dark gray is the driveway to the neighbor in back of us. Yes, there are some very long driveways down here. What makes it even more quiet and inviting is that we live on a private road so the traffic is at a minimum. You can almost SEE the peace and quiet!!
This neighbor is kiddie-corner across the street. That would be Mr. Sparks; hence, 'Sparks Lane'. He built all these homes on this private road and is living in the last one he built. Check out that open space! One of my decorating ideas on my 'list' is new drapes and window treatments. It is really hard getting used to the fact that our neighbors cannot see right into our house from theirs; something we dealt with for years in Milwaukee. So, I really want to keep the window coverings down to a minimum to let that sun shine in and keep it bright and airy.
What more can I say? I think the photos tell a better story than I ever could. Yes, it's our little 'piece of heaven'. It was a long, hard roller-coaster ride to get here but we have learned to really appreciate what we have and to be happy with the smaller things in life....like walking out on our front porch and hear.....NOTHING!!!
