Snickers
This is Snickers. She's our neurotic Chihuahua whose terrifying the neighbors has come to an end as you can see. In Milwaukee we had a fenced in yard and would let the dogs out the patio door and not worry about them. Here, we do not have a fence and don't want a fence because we love the open feeling of where we live. At first when we would let the dogs out the front door, Snickers would basically stay in the front yard along with Sparkles. But then she started to wonder past her boundaries. Soon, she was in the road....yes, it's a private road without many cars but it bugged me that cars had to slow down (sometimes even come to a complete stop) for this little pest. One day she was across the road and under a neighbor's truck just lounging around. When I yelled for her, she looked up with that "Yeah? Ya calling me?" look...the little snot. Well, that did it. Off to the pet store to buy what we needed to keep her in line or should we say on the line.
Actually, it doesn't bother her to be hooked up. She usually has a rug to lay on and a bowl of water...and most important, peace reigns once again in the neighborhood.
