Clamps
Yes, that would be Grandpa. Here we have his version of fixing a pair of sandals where the sole was starting to come off. In his world two of the most important things to have when being "Mr. Fix-It" is super glue and clamps. Do you know how many shapes and sizes of clamps there are out there. I don't know either but I've been in Lowe's and there are LOTS! From itsy-bitsy to ginormous, there is a clamp made to handle any job. Grandpa loves his clamps. Not only does he use them in his repair shop but also when doing his paperwork. He has them all over his computer table. He clamps mail that needs to go into the mailbox. He clamps winning scratch-off tickets in one pile and the losers in another. Clamps are Grandpa's version of paperclips....I don't know....maybe it's a 'man thing' and he thinks that paper clips are 'sissy' little things. In his world when you want to hold stuff together you use a CLAMP. Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever seen him use a paper clip. I think it's because it takes more patience to use a paper clip...really, think about it. You have to line those pages up just right and get them to slide into the slots of a paper clip where with a clamp, it's open, insert and close. Wa-La! Grandpa is very short on patience when doing certain things so anyway that we can make it easier for him, it's OK by me.
Now, if I could just find a clamp to close my open bag of Sun Chips!
