Last month I took a class at the Cherry Pit in Sevierville. It was a 'beginner' quilt class and even though I've been quilting for a while, I think with any and every class you take, you learn something new. You would NOT believe what I'm learning in the class I'm taking now; when you do hand quilting, you NEED to use a thimble! And, I'm having a terrible time getting used to having that thing on the end of my finger. But if you don't use it, you will have sore fingers. Take it from me!
The finished quilt pictured above is what I made in that beginner class. And, I learned lots; one of which is that Grandpa is my biggest supporter of my hobby. He will drag me to Joann's Fabrics and any quilt shop in the area. He cheers me on when I take a class or go to my quilt club meetings. He knows that it's a big part of my retired life and always checks with me for what I have going on before he schedules something on the calendar. I'm very lucky.......
That is why this quilt is for him. WITH ALL MY LOVE!
