My Quilt Club

Here we are......the Seymour Quilt Club or like Grandpa and Shelly like to call it, "The Cult". We were featured in Sunday's Tennessee News Sentinel. The quilt you see was made and put together by my fellow members (before my time however) and makes for a beautiful backdrop, don't you think?
I have mades so many friends since joining. The woman standing on the left of the quilt, Connie, started it all for me when I sat next to her for a two-day class at the Smokey Mountain Quiltfest last year. Yep, it started me on the whirlwind of classes, fabric stashes, shop-hops, rulers, rotary cutters, other quilting 'do-dads' and a new sewing machine. And, I do my part to support the local fabric and quilt shops in the area. Hey, it's fun and keeps me off the streets and out of bars.

P.S. If you look real close on the top right corner of the quilt, you can see my beautiful manicured fingers holding up the quilt from behind. I'm not really that tall; I was standing on a chair.
