Quilting Update

Learning to applique in quilting club. You actually cut the pieces out on fusible bonding material and iron them on. Then you stitch around them with the zig-zag, buttonhole or any other stitch that might work. I am happy to say that my block turned out pretty good considering this is the first time I've appliqued on the machine. My stitch of choice was the zig-zag. We all turn in our blocks and then draw a name out of hat the winner gets all the blocks to make a quilt. We had to stick to the green and gold colors (whatever we could find in our stash) so all the blocks are somewhat alike in color. I have my fingers crossed....will keep you posted if I win.

Hmmmmm....Green and Gold. This just might make a perfect Green Bay Packers quilt!
