Christmas Shopping the Easy Way

ONLINE SHOPPING:  This is the best invention since the shopping cart!  This year I did ALL my Christmas shopping online and never looked back!  From ordering books, hats and playing detective to find parts for a couple of old Ipods being recycled, I had a blast! I especially like Ebay because I like a good auction. So, from the comfort of my favorite chair (or even my bed), I knocked off the biggest shopping time of the year without:
  • Hunting for a parking place; I don't mind walking but I think asking to park in the next county gets to be a bit much;
  • Fighting for a shopping cart, if you can even find one;
  • Trying to get down crowded aisles without getting yourself trampled by one of those carts you were looking for being driven by a shopper with a crazed look in their eyes;
  • Finding out that the ONE thing you came for is sold out and good luck finding a clerk to find out what they are going to do about it...rain check?
  • Waiting in the checkout line (I always manage to pick the wrong one) like forever to finally get to the clerk who is scowling....gee, having a bad day? Note: Most dreaded words at a checkout "Price Check";
  • Paying for your items, grabbing your bags and walking to that next county to your car (but, first you need to find it). I don't like to take a cart out to the car because then I'm guilted into finding a cart rack.
  • Loading up your car and start to inch out of the parking lot dodging all those carts; well now you know where they were when you were looking for one.
Now, I know some of you die hard shoppers and Black Friday crazies love this time of the year and that's ok....but not for me. Me? I'll just stay in my house and wait for the UPS man to make the next delivery.

P.S. Some people don't believe in paying the shipping costs when ordering online. I have found that if you shop long enough, you will find what you are looking for with free shipping; especially on Ebay. If I have to, I will pay shipping just to avoid the hassle and insanity!
