Life around our house has gotten pretty hectic lately....yes, Lexi has learned to crawl. And CRAWL she does, is all she WANTS to do and does not like to be stopped!! She has discovered a whole new world and she wants to see it all! She is particularly fascinated by electrical cords. Ok, so you put these little child safety plugs in open sockets, but what about the sockets that have something plugged into them and they have this cute little cord hanging down (within a crawler's reach). For some reason they attract Lexi like magnets. Last night Grandpa dumped out a box of computer and other electrical cords on the floor to sort them out and organize them. It only took Lexi a moment to spot that pile and she was on the run. Is it because they are black or that they dangle or that they look like snakes or worms? Whatever she sees in them, it has made us all very alert at all times. We have a saying in our house now...."You take her out of her bouncy seat, you are responsible for her." Unfortunately, Trinity and Madison have not caught on to that rule yet. Last night Trinity took her out to play with her on the floor but got distracted and left the room...leaving Lexi to fend for herself. And that she did. Luckily I discovered her trying to play "patty cake" with Snickers, the crazy chihuahua!
And now the Christmas tree has been set up, lighted, decorated and what does Lexi notice first? The cord to the lights of course. If that tree comes down by her hands (and the odds are pretty high), it will not be because she pulls herself up on it and pulls it down....she's going to 'yank' it down by the cord.
Hopefully, it will fall away from her and not land on Snickers because she already is on that dog's last nerve!
