Roasting Marshmallows

As you all know from my previous posts, we lost our biggest tree during a wicked storm a while ago. We did hall a lot of the branch debris away but did save the bigger branches and small logs because we thought it would be fun to get a fire pit. We also saved some of the longer skinny limbs for roasting marshmallows. I mean....who doesn't like a good S'more?

So, here is Madison roasting her FIRST.....yes, I said first roasted marshmallow! Like their mom said, the girls have never been camping so they have never had the chance to learn this fun thing. Grandpa and I were so very excited to introduce this into their lives. And the S'mores? OMG....who doesn't love those?

Which leads to the subject of marshmallows.......

Check this out!!! They now make Campfire marshmallows. I guess someone decided that the regular 'big' size was not big enough. Don't know why because if you roast the marshmallow just right and smash it in the middle of your S'more, its just the right size....in my opinion, at least. Shelly bought these after our first roasting and we haven't tried them yet so I'm looking forward to seeing what the big deal is with these new bigger ones and if the making of a S'more needed to be improved.
