Last Christmas Lexi was around 10 months old and basically was in her jumpy seat when the Christmas tree was up and decorated. Thing really change in one year! This year she is almost two and wants to do EVERYTHING that her big sisters, Trinity and Madison do. And, that included hanging ornaments on the Christmas tree. We were wondering how excited she would be this year and if the tree was going to be safe.
Well, last night the ornaments came out and the older girls started hanging ornaments and Lexi just jumped right in barefeet and all. She was very serious and careful hanging them. Now, that the tree is finished, I have to smile every time I look at it.....seeing the ornaments way on the bottom and know those were the ones which were hung by Lexi. It was such a wonderful evening.
It's times like this that we are so glad we live with some of our grandchildren. Yep! Christmas is just that much more fun with kids around.
Actually, I think this photo would make a beautiful Christmas card. What more than a child hanging ornaments is more representative of a family Christmas?
