Home is what you make it.........

The above photos are of our wall in our dining area off the kitchen. We do have a formal dining room but that got turned into 'extra' room which is used for Grandpa's tropical fish aquariums, his computer hutch and a place for the shoe baskets....don't ask. We must have the only tropical fish that live in a room with a fancy-schmancy light fixture in the ceiling.

Anyhow, I love this wall. Who wouldn't? Look at those photos of the grandchildren! To the left we have Becky's kids and to the right, Shelly's. It really was not this full until last week. While cleaning out closets in our room to make room for my quilting stuff, I went through several boxes of photo frames to move them to the garage for the next rummage sale and discovered that some of them still had photos in them. So, heck.....I just decided to expand to the photos I already had on the wall. I hope some day to get a nice hutch for this room, but for the time being this entertainment center works just fine. That's where the kids keep a lot of their games and art supplies. I've cleaned this out since taking these pictures and it now looks much nicer. All their art supplies are now in their room and my colored glass collection has been rearranged.

Our house may not be the most beautiful inside. It's a house with three kids and looks like it. But, we wouldn't give up all the hugs and kisses we get from those kids for more expensive knick-knacks. Or, when we are all sitting around the table for 'family' dinner and the chatter about what we all did that day....

Just doesn't get batter than that!
